- Temporary Family Assistant
Location: Chandler @ Ocotillo & Alma School Rd.
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Week of December 16th, 2024
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM
Hourly Rate: $28 - $30 per hour
About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Full-Time Temporary Family Assistant to support this family during a transitional period. This role is essential for maintaining a smooth and efficient household as they prepare for an upcoming move. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Household Duties:
- Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Managing laundry and general tidying (making beds, checking and replacing fridge contents, etc.).
- Performing light cleaning in preparation for biweekly deep cleaning by a professional service.
- Meal Planning and Preparation:
- Collaborate with Mom on meal planning and preparation.
- Handle evening meal prep, including washing and cutting vegetables.
- Shopping and Errands:
- Conduct grocery and miscellaneous shopping as directed.
- Moving Preparation:
- Assist with sorting, disposal, and preparation for the sale of items.
- Pre-pack items for moving.
- Transportation:
- Drive to pick up son from school, leaving the house at 2:30 PM.
- Occasionally transport daughter to outside therapy activities.
- Daily Closeout:
- Conduct a final closeout and handover to Mom each day. If Mom is not home, leave a note or call her to communicate updates.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks as directed by Mom to ensure household needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a house manager or family assistant or experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and great time management abilities.
- Effective and clear communication skills.
- Kind personality with a collaborative spirit, able to take direction and work well with others.

Newborn Care Specialist
Contract duration: 16 weeks (starting May 2025)
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 9 PM - 7 AM
Location: Mesa, AZ
Compensation: $35 per hour
Overview:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and nurturing Newborn Care Specialist to join a genuinely incredible family as they welcome their newest member. This is a unique chance to work with one of our favorite repeat clients, known for their warm hospitality and exemplary approach to family care. Having successfully collaborated with them for their other children with newborn care and daily household management, we are confident this will be a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overnight Care: Provide attentive and nurturing care for the newborn during the night, ensuring their comfort and safety, and work with them to form a successful plan for sleep support and routines.
- Feeding Support: Assist with breastfeeding by bringing the baby to mom for feeds as needed once the baby is settled. Support the breastfeeding process by ensuring the baby is comfortable and content and mom is as supported as she needs to be to ensure this is a positive experience.
- Gentle Guidance: Offer practical advice and tips on newborn care, such as soothing techniques, sleep routines, and feeding schedules, while being mindful to maintain a relaxed and non-intrusive approach.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure that the nursery and surrounding areas are tidy, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies for easy access during the night. Prepare, sanitize and organize bottles and pacifiers as needed to keep them stocked and always ready.
- Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with the parents regarding the baby’s needs, sleep patterns, and any concerns that may arise
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be certified as a Newborn Care Specialist through a reputable training program. Candidates trained through Newborn Care Solutions or a similar accredited program will be given preference.
- Experience: Previous experience in newborn care is required, with a demonstrated ability to work well in a family setting.
- Personal Attributes: Candidates should be easy-going, patient, and approachable, with a strong understanding of the delicate nature of newborn care and assisting a growing family during this important transition. They would love to find someone comfortable providing suggestions and helpful tips in a constructive and supportive way.
Additional Information:
- After Grandma's initial visit, a spare bedroom will be available for the selected candidate, ensuring a comfortable stay.
- A bed is also available in the nursery for convenience and ease of access during night shifts and you can choose to stay in there for the duration of the contract or move to a guest room next door once it is available.
- The family values a collaborative approach and seeks someone who can seamlessly integrate into their home and lifestyle.
- Discretion and privacy are very important to this family, and a Non-Disclosure Agreement will be required in advance of starting.
