Mom has been fortunate to stay home with their joyful 3½-year-old daughter and is expecting a new baby girl in May. As their family grows, they are looking for an experienced, warm, and engaging nanny to join them during this very special season.

While extensive professional nanny experience is valued, the family is primarily seeking someone seasoned and confident — whether through many years as a career nanny or through raising children and successfully running a home — who understands the natural rhythm and nuance of family life.

About the Family & Working Dynamic

This family is affectionate, playful, and deeply connected. They value warmth, laughter, and presence. Dad is a busy entrepreneur, and while both parents are very involved and hands-on, mom will continue to be a stay-at-home parent and active in the girls’ daily lives.

It is important that candidates are comfortable working in a home where a parent is present throughout the day. This role is designed to support the family, not replace mom. At the same time, mom is very respectful of professional boundaries and understands the importance of independent relationships. She will encourage and allow one-on-one time between the nanny and each child so genuine bonds can develop naturally.

There will be times when you are leading activities with one child while mom is with the other, and other times when the day leans more toward household support. For example, if mom is with the baby and the oldest is at school, that may be an ideal time to focus on laundry, organizing, or kitchen resets. This is not a position that requires constant side-by-side collaboration, but rather someone who is confident working independently while being comfortable with a parent present in the home.

The right candidate will feel secure in this dynamic, communicative, intuitive, and confident in navigating shared space with professionalism and ease.

Their oldest loves splash pads, parks, the library, and outdoor adventures. They would love a nanny who enjoys planning creative outings and educational activities while nurturing curiosity and confidence.

There is a sweet cat in the home, so candidates must be cat-friendly and comfortable with occasional check-ins during family travel.

Position Overview

This is a hybrid nanny / light household support role, and each day may look a little different. Some days will be more childcare-focused, while others may lean more toward household organization and support, particularly when mom is spending hands-on time with the girls.

The ideal candidate is perceptive and proactive — someone who does not need a daily list but can look around, assess what needs attention, and handle it thoughtfully. This family appreciates someone who steps in naturally, whether that means engaging in playful interaction with the children or quietly resetting the kitchen.

Childcare Responsibilities

• Providing loving, attentive care for a 3½-year-old and newborn
• Supporting developmental milestones for both children
• Planning creative, educational, and age-appropriate activities
• Organizing outings (parks, splash pads, library, etc.)
• Partnering in newborn care support when appropriate
• Assisting with feeding routines, soothing, and sleep transitions
• Preparing daily snacks and meals for the children

Household & Kitchen Support

While childcare is always the priority, the role includes thoughtful household assistance such as:

• Laundry support
• Grocery shopping and errands
• School/activity drop-offs and pickups as needed
• Emptying the dishwasher
• General kitchen tidying and resets
• Occasional light meal prep for the family
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children daily
• Taking out garbage
• Organizing small household projects
• Washing and sanitizing bottles and pump parts
• Maintaining baby care systems and nursery organization

The family values someone who notices the small details and maintains a tidy, welcoming home without needing close supervision.

Travel

Travel is not a major requirement, as the family does have local support. However, if the nanny is open to occasional domestic or international travel and would enjoy joining on certain family trips, they would welcome that support. Flexibility is appreciated but not heavily emphasized.
